Imagine reading an online memorial on your Best Friend’s Facebook page; knowing your driving maimed them. For the Roadtrip Forever campaign two different web films were produced to reflect each gender’s unique driving behaviour. The Boy's film focuses on the fatal effects of speeding; the Girl’s depicts the dangers of distracted driving. The stories, text messages, dialogue, and the copy of the website, are all crafted to appeal to each gender. The video is presented in a first person user’s perspective i.e.; the camera is the eyes of the user, who sees the action play out as though they're the ones driving the car. The user is the one reading messages from friends as they drive, continually texting & partying. They are the one texting while driving are the cause of their Best Friend being hospitalised and losing their leg. It is the user who ultimately chooses to share this online video experience with their friends.
