Imagine reading an online memorial on your Best Friend’s Facebook page; knowing is was your driving that killed them. What would you do to change it? The Roadtrip Forever campaign consists of two web films - a guys and girls version which charts the story of the user and their friend going to a music festival and the tragic consequences that unfold as they drive home. The Boy's film focuses on the fatal effects of speeding; the Girl’s depicts the dangers of distracted driving. Integrating the user's facebook data into the narrative, the story is presented in a first person user’s perspective i.e.; the camera is the eyes of the user, who sees the action play out as though they're the ones driving the car. The user is the one reading Facebook page the messages from friends, partying & speeding. They're the one speeding. They're the reason that they're in hospital, reading the RIP messages dedicate to their Best Friend with the date 5 days in the future of the time they logged onto the site. The user is the one who experiences first hand Roadrip Forever. So to really appreciate what happens you'll have to take the trip... www.roadtripforever.com
