The film shows how kids who grow up in foreign countries do not know much about the culture and traditions followed back at home. How they are unaware of the little rituals and how they misinterpret them in their own ways, much to the dismay of the parents. Making the parents wish if only they had taken the kids home more often. For instance, Aarti is a religious ritual where a plate containing vermillion, turmeric, camphor, flowers and lit lamp is taken all around the house, allowing the smoke from the camphor to spread all around and purify the surroundings. This is symbolic of passing on the blessings of God to the residents of the house. In the film, the young girl mistakes it for an insignificant practice as she is not aware of its religious significance.
