Betstar is an Australian online betting company known for it’s irreverent humour, blokey brand personality and tone of voice. The current sporting market in Australia is flooded with messages from gambling companies. Most of them broadcast live odds updates, which have begun to annoy viewers and caused widespread public and media backlash. We broke this irritating trend by producing a series of simple, humorous 15 second brand spots offering ‘Handy Betting Good Tips’. In keeping with the Betstar personality, they were entertaining, they didn’t have a pushy retail agenda, and (most importantly) didn’t take themselves too seriously.
