The small car segment in Australia has moved on in a big way since the Nissan Pulsar left seven years ago. The segment is now the fastest growing and highest volume category, with new additions getting sexier, bigger and sportier. Consumers are demanding more from their small cars, far beyond the basic A to B. While people are excited the Pulsar is making a return, we had to tell people it has moved on in a big way. We needed something epic, yet simple; emotional but with a touch of rational product messaging too. Idea: The all-new Nissan Pulsar is back, with more than ever before. For less than you’d expect. The spot follows the story of the Pulsar design team trying to please their boss — a relentless, unwavering, perfectionist. The spot appeared nationally and focused on value-seeking people, aged 25-64.
