Brief Explanation

Challenge: Regale International Travel Co., Ltd. has a limited advertising budget and their only advertising activity is to give a yearly calendar to their customers. Insight: Many people, especially non-workaholics or holiday maniacs, use their calendars to countdown until the next holiday in their minds or on their hands. We knew there must be an easier way.

The Brief

Create a form of communication that reminds and encourages customers to plan a holiday trip with Regale International Travel Co., Ltd.

How the final design was conceived

Utilize the company’s existing medium for cost savings, the yearly calendar, but change it to the “Countdown Calendar,” which shows how many days are left until the next holiday. It’s simple. Just look at the calendar and the number reflects how many days remain so you know when it’s time to start planning your trip. This transforms the calendar into media communication that reminds customers about Regale International Travel Co., Ltd. and encourages them to utilize the company’s services.

Indication of how successful the outcome was in the market

In the first quarter of 2013, the returning customer rate increased by 30% compared to the same period last year. The customers also liked the calendar so much that they asked for more to give to their friends.
