MAN: It was another one of those long days. By the time I finally finished work it was late. Probably around midnight?

MAN: I didn’t feel anything. I don’t want to sound corny but I do remember thinking ‘why is everything so dark?’ WOMAN: So it was dark, I’m fumbling around for the light switch and I finally turned it on and everyone I knew was there. My parents, my friends and they’re all yelling surprise
SFX: FRIENDS YELLING SURPRISE
WOMAN: and I’m like
SFX: APPLAUSE, CHEERING.
WOMAN: stood there like a deer in headlights. Shocked. I mean, I knew my husband was planning something, I just didn’t expect that.
