To bring Edith Cowan University's commitment to student services to life, we decided to create a faux department within the university that would deal with student's stress in an appropriate way. We called it The Department of Stress Reduction, complete with a university crest. By using dynamic Flash video, students could upload either an image of something that was stressing them out or some words that articulated their stress. The content would then be inserted into the film, where it was subjected to various stress-relieving measures – a small kitten, windchimes etc – until it was finally destroyed in a satisfying fireball of destruction.
