Brief Explanation

Cricket is Australia’s favourite sport and Commonwealth Bank is the longest supporter of cricket in Australia (25 years). Yet before 2011, the Bank had never leveraged their sponsorship in social media. ‘We Love Cricket’ – comprised two competitions across the season, one for the Test Series, one for the following One Day International Series. ‘Hussey’s Lunchtime Legends’ challenged fans’ knowledge of cricket moments while ‘Plot The Shot’ asked them to put their powers of prediction to use. All in all ‘We Love Cricket’ is the most successful social media campaign the Bank has ever undertaken.
