Of course there are lots of branded contents now in Japan. Some contents are tech savvy, some are fancy. However there are very few contents which is included in the product's brand portfolio. So here it is.
N STORE was launched to showcase N-branded products. It was a totally new type of collaboration. The client made the cars. The ad agency created the products.
Redefining the brand as a lifestyle brand Creating products other than cars which symbolize the brand, and using them to push the concept. Apps, online services, toys, and more. The aim was to change the perception of N from "a Car brand" to "a Lifestyle brand" -- something that makes everyday a little more fun.
Result 1: Broad reach and high sales 1st N Product: Small Character Camera N A camera app that lets users turn anything in their environment into a super kawaii cute character. 200,000 Downloads!Tweets generated from this app has reached total of more than 1,700,000 followers. 2nd N Product: N BOX A car designed by Honda. 65000 Units Almost doubled the estimation! Result 2: Apps became a medium. Rather than a quick promotional tool, the app was designed for long-term use, Making it a sustainable medium for conveying brand messages. Through the app and other products, N has been recognized as a brand that makes everyday more fun.
