Brief Explanation

The objective was to engage with the music loving, tech savvy young audiences of Space Shower TV, and have them bring home the message that 'music has the power to make a better tomorrow'.

The Brief

Space Shower TV, a Japanese music video channel, wanted to create a campaign around the tagline 'Music Saves Tomorrow'.

How the final design was conceived

From the tagline 'Music Saves Tomorrow', we first thought of using 'children' who are the seeds of tomorrow as our main visual. We took this initial idea one stem further, and decided to use 'sperms' which are the preliminary phase of children. We actually filmed the sperms of the entire creative team using a biological microscope, picked the best ones (which was the director's), and extracted its shapes and motion data to create the realistic animation. The sperms dance to the music, visualizing the power of music.

Indication of how successful the outcome was in the market

The video was shared on numerous blogs, and SNSs, raising high awareness of the campaign and Timelapse Vision Inc., who filmed our sperms.
