The TV ad is a modern, artistic representation of the three distinguishing qualities of the Performa suit: it is crush resistant, stain resistant and made with breathable wool. By using a series of visual representations; exploding coloured powder, a gliding mass of glossy red liquid and a possibly suffocating cloud of blue smoke; the ad puts the suit’s qualities to the test. Combining these with motion, in a mix of slow and hi speed frame rates, the theme of travel is executed in a unique style. What results is a dramatic and highly contemporary TV ad that links this new functional product to the everyday challenges of the young professional male. Showing them the Performa suit can withhold whatever the day throws at them.
