2010 is the year of the Metal Tiger in the lunar calendar. While everyone huddled, we wanted our clients to seize the advantage. A bold greeting – traditional new year songs in heavy metal - was delivered to clients on a studded 'leather jacket' music CD. We built a microsite where traditional fortune telling was turned on its head: visitors had to headbang to get their reading. After 3 weeks, yearofthemetaltiger.com had 10,083 visits across 75 countries. The microsite and CD were picked up by blogs, tweeted, shared on Facebook and even received airplay on a local radio station.
