Brief Explanation

When people receive an ordinary textbook-like annual report, most of them just flip through or even worse, never open it. So we decided to design an annual report which is attractive and interactive in a way that's relevant to the core message. And people are more likely to keep using it.

The Brief

To design the 2008 annual report of the Christina Noble Children's Foundation in a way that lets the reader really experience what the Foundation is doing.

How the final design was conceived

The annual report is an interactive flash presentation filled with animations and sounds stored inside a USB disk in the shape of a child's hand. Plugging it in feels like holding the hand of a street child. And since the USB disk is reusable, the recipient will be reminded every time they use it that they have the ability to reach out and pull a child from the clutches of poverty.

Indication of how successful the outcome was in the market

The child-hand shaped USB annual reports were very well received by the private and corporate donors of the Foundation. All proceeds go to charity, the USB annual reports were also put on sale at popular art shops for more donations and awareness. This also garnered significant awareness and PR.
