Wella has little advertising support and the task was to create presence in places where it truly matters, i.e. beauty salons where decisions involving hair color are made and acted upon.
The brief was to simply communicate the beautiful results you get when you use Wella hair colors.
Instead of using actual hair, we used colorful dyes and captured the incredible hair-like images they made as they touched water. The dyes blossoming into women’s hair truly celebrates the beauty of Wella-colored hair.
The Watercolor Women were placed in two of the city’s more popular, high-end salons. They were well received by the stylists as well as their patrons. The posters were regarded as artworks on display and piqued customers’ curiosity and interest, enough to make Wella their choice for their hair color treatment.
