Teenagers and young adults are always in search of the new. Ice-cream and frozen yogurt parlours are not uncommon. Hence there was a need to create an identity that resonates the fresh and quizzical that the target audience love.
The client wanted the communication for the yogurt boutique to be refreshing, memorable and whimsical for the young crowd.
Yogurt is sour. Hence the name, Sour Sally. It became the name of the yogurt boutique and the unique character behind the whimsical make-believe world. She’s not an everyday comic figure but a unique character with funny oddities. Entirely hand-drawn, right down to the tiniest detail. The character interacts with the environment and everything about the frozen yogurt boutique oozes Sour Sally.
The yogurt boutique was an instant hit. Soon, the hype took to the Internet and Facebook, and teenagers and young adults were raving about the new yogurt place in town. The boutique was seen as one of the coolest places to hang out and it serves up the most unique and tastiest treats. Within 7 months, 11 other boutiques were opened in Indonesia. And the rest is history.
