HowFamousAreYou.com is a recruitment tool that taps on natural human curiosity (and a little narcissism). The site looks an innocent search engine. Visitors enter their names, and the site trawls search engines, blogs, forums, twitter and other social sites to reveal their star status online. We then invited users to send us an email. But it wasn't as easy as attaching a resume. Each discipline had a different ‘challenge’. The site received 1,236 pageviews in the first week, and by the end of the month, we had 12 additional hires.
