Crikey are Australia’s leading independent political media voice. To help Crikey keep politicians honest during the 2014 Victorian state election, eight key promises from both major political parties were set in stone and exhibited on the steps of the prestigious Victorian State Library. With each Crikey branded stone displaying the hashtag #setinstone, voters were empowered to have their say on which issues mattered to them most. On election day itself, the promises were moved to the polls, confronting election frontrunner (and now Premier) Daniel Andrews as he went to cast his vote.
