The Campaign

Bar B Q Plaza, Thailand’s #1 barbecue franchise restaurant, has had the famous green dragon, Bar B Gon, as its mascot for over 20 years and needs revamping. The brief was to redesign the mascot, ensuring people will love it just as much.

Success of the Campaign

- Bar B Q Plaza Facebook fans increased 1,029% with over 5.7 million interactions. - Facebook post views up by 6,365%. Feedback up by 5,320%. - Sia Seng gained over 7,000 Facebook fans and 3,000 Twitter followers in a week. - Over 1 million total YouTube clip views. - 160,000 online keyword searches relating to campaign. - Up to 14,000 impressions on Google Ad Word search. - Consumers fell in love with the new Bar B Gon that reborned from their love and care.

We created the ‘Save the Last Bar B Gon’ campaign - a funny but tragic story of real-life kidnaps and killings of existing Bar B Gon mascots, which brought Bar B Gon to life and leveraged people’s emotional bond with it. The tragic ‘killings’ integrated many communication platforms, drawing people to follow the story further online.
