Ahead of the London 2012 Olympic Games, Telstra recorded the voices of Australians from at home and abroad, to re-create the nation's unofficial sporting anthem, Down Under. Led by Men At Work front man and principal songwriter, Colin Hay, an A’Cappella version of the track, using voices only, was created which aired during the opening ceremony and throughout the Olympic Games. The new arrangement was crafted out of the voices recorded live, a difficult job made harder by the unscripted filming and editing. The composition of this soundtrack is made up of voices layered on top of more voices to create the depth and range of sound.
