What if Kia Rio meets the Rio characters from 20th Century Fox? The movie “Rio” was released worldwide in the spring of 2011, and became a great hit. In this project, Kia and 20th Century Fox did not engage in any financial transaction over the use of the Rio characters. Instead, Kia offered to use these characters in its car advertisement with the announcement of the DVD & Bluelay release of the movie and 20th Fox accepted it for the creative. In 2011, the central trend in pop music worldwide was electronic, as illustrated by the hits of LMFAO and Far East Movement. We decided to use electronic dance music as the base of our “mash-up” project. As a result, we decided to remix Mozart’s Twinkle Twinkle Little Star into electronic dance music. At first, the music is played in its original classical version in the background showing birds bored sitting inside the warehouse. As the car is unveiled, the remix version is played, turning the warehouse into a party scene. The dialogues of the characters in the movie Rio are mashed up with the music to make it more interesting to the listeners.
