This TVC was created as a Japanese version of SNICKERS’ global campaign: "You are not you when you are hungry." Erika SAWAJIRI, a Japanese actress, played a leading role. Actually, she was fired by her former agency, and one of the reasons for this was assumed to be her controversial behavior towards the press during the premiere of a movie. She was away from the Japanese film industry for several years, but in this TVC, she came back to play a grumpy role with a self-deprecating humor, which has given the audience a great surprise and excitements. That was one of the key success factors of this TVC (featured on various TV shows, newspaper and such, ending up with almost JPY 700 million of advertising value equivalent publicity, and the number of views on YouTube has risen up to 1.1 million times.), and the sales performance of SNICKERS has also been increased to 139% YOY.
