As a late entrant to the crowded Indian automotive market, Nissan wanted to rapidly become part of the conversation among current and future car buyers. Nissan is all about 'innovation that excites', so we turned to something that excites our audience – Bollywood. The New Star of India was born – a one-of-a-kind Bollywood movie featuring megastar Ranbir Kapoor and 20 co-stars selected through auditions and public vote on Facebook. The campaign helped create one of the most engaged communities on Facebook in India, while also making Nissan the top automotive brand on Facebook in India within 3 months.
