Make the sales promotion intrusive, useful and inexpensive to produce.
Penguin wanted a sales idea to promote their range of audiobooks to book readers.
People generally use bookmarks to remind themselves the page they last read. So we created one with the symbol for 'pause' found on sound equipment to graphically remind them that Penguin also has a range of audiobooks. These bookmarks were given away with every book purchased.
The promotion is still in progress and the final sales results are still being tabulated. But enquiries for titles available on Penguin Audiobooks has increased.
